Date: 03/06/2019
First Playtest (Daniel Han -> Tester)
Response:
- Structured, cohesive story
- Emotional connection between two protagonists present
- Interaction and dialogue between two protagonists felt somewhat off and jaded
- Some of the choices appeared to be trying to guide the player to certain locations that were never mentioned before to the player.
Action:
- Work on making dialogue more casual and emotional between two protagonists
- Add in subtle clues to help player understand their choices better before presenting them
Second Playtest (Juun Li -> Tester)
Response:
- There were many choices which gave the player a sense of freedom
- Strong interaction between the two protagonists
- There was a stronger sense of character emphasis rather than plot emphasis
- Choices have the player more emotionally attached with Miranda and have them wanting to try out the other options once Miranda dies to try to save her
- Initial one choice structure which leads up to the main fork in the road of choices proved effective in setting the story
Action:
- Work more on building a heavier emotional connection between the two protagonists
Common Themes:
- Emotion present between two protagonists
- Structured story
