Development Process


In this project, we started  with coming up with changes we would like to make to the previous game. We decided to re-do assets, fix existing bugs it had, add a timer and a counter for collectible fruits, not having instant death when couching an enemy, and make the platform more randomized. When we started to work on the project, we also decided to have a gradual increase of difficulty in the game. Therefore, we made the game have three phases: in the first one, all platforms are generated with the same y value; in the second one, platforms are generated with different y values; in the third one, it starts to generate enemies. We also generated background sprites as the slime moves toward right. We replaced the old sound effect to make the slime movements feel more slimy.
